The Venue!

Mt. Gulian Historic House in Beacon, NY

After what has been possibly the shortest venue selection in history (we only looked at 3 venues… and almost settled on the first), we have made up our mind and sent in the deposit for The Mt. Gulian Historic House in Beacon, NY. The farm house was built in 1730 by the Verplanck family and was beautifully restored after a fire destroyed most of the building in 1931.

We fell for the place pretty much at first sight. It sits on an enormous piece of land overlooking the Hudson River and has an amazing old barn. We’re excited to see how nice it will look in October with all the fall foliage in full effect.
