Due to Beacon’s close proximity to New York City, we’re expecting that most people coming from the surrounding region will simply make a day trip for the wedding (the trains run about every hour up until 11pm or so). However, for those that decide to do otherwise, or are traveling from outside of the immediate area, we’re recommending that you book a room at one of the many hotels in Fishkill, NY, about 3 mi East of Beacon.

Note that it will be peak leaf & wedding season, and many of the hotels and B&Bs are filling up fast. Some also require a two night minimum stay. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express. However, there are many other hotels in the area. Please use websites like hotels.com or kayak.com to check their availability. We recommend staying at one of the hotels clustered together on Route 9 (near exit 13 off I-84.)

The area around Beacon is pretty beautiful, especially in the fall. So, if you feel like roughing it and spending a night in a tent, we recommend Malouf’s. (And, yes, they do have showers).
