Getting Here

Mt Gulian is located at 145 Sterling St in Beacon, NY, about 70 miles North of New York City. Some of our guests will be traveling from NYC, so we’ve provided directions for both rail and road transportation.  For those flying in from out of town, we recommend that you fly into Stewart Airport (SWF) in Newburgh, NY, directly across the river from Beacon and only a short cab ride away. If it’s more convenient, or if you plan to spend a few days in NYC before or after the wedding, we recommend that you fly into LaGuardia (LGA) or JFK (JFK) airports and take the train up from Grand Central Station.

Rail:

  • Take the Metro North “Hudson Line” from NYC to Beacon. See schedules and fares and connecting service information. (Select Departure Station – Most likely Grand Central, and Arrival Station as Beacon). Call (800) METRO-INFO for customer service. The trip generally takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes.
  • The latest non-stop train leaves Beacon at 9:57PM. The last train leaves Beacon at 11:16PM with a transfer at the Croton-Harmon station.

Road:

  • Take the Taconic Parkway to Interstate 84 West or Take the NY State Thruway to Exit 17 Newburgh to I-84 East
  • Then take Interstate-84 to Exit 11 Wappingers Falls/Beacon
  • Proceed on Route 9D North 2/10ths of a mile
  • Make left onto Hudson View Drive, and into the Hudson View Park Apartments complex, and you will see the Mount Gulian sign
  • Make immediate left onto Lamplight Street (which becomes Sterling Street)
  • Pass through the garden apartment complex until the end
  • Mount Gulian is at end of Sterling Street; park on the circular driveway

Flying:

  • Stewart Airport (SWF) is the closest airport. Jetblue, Delta & US Air all fly into Stewart making it pretty convenient for just about everyone. If needed, Avis, Budget, Enterprise & Hertz offer car rentals at the terminal.
